| Fallingwater, one of Frank Lloyd Wright's most widely acclaimed works, was designed in 1935 for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kauffmann. Dramatically cantilevered over a waterfall, the house, perhaps better than any single work exemplifies Wright's concept of organic achitecture. The Barn is located 500 yards north of Fallingwater at the entrance to the Bear Run Nature Reserve.
